Dear Colleague,
This newsletter brings several important calls to action. First and foremost a call to you based in or interested in the Southern Asia region to attend the FIG Regional Conference in Nepal. Each session is crafted to contribute to a Call-for-Action publication. Your participation can directly influence the efforts to strengthen and safeguard land rights against climate challenges, foster collaborative partnerships for climate resilience, increase disaster resilience through knowledge and capacity, and enhance regional responses through best practices and fit-for-purpose standards. Additionally, the 5th Young Surveyor Asia-Pacific Regional Meeting will be held in conjunction with the Regional conference - FIG Foundation calls for grant applications from the region. The Young Surveyors Europe is calling for participants for their European meeting in Romania while FIG Commission 5 and 7 prepare to meet in Malaysia. Finally, have a look at the call for papers for the FIG Working Week 2025 and prepare to submit your abstract.
Yet another call is to all member associations to consider submitting a bid for the FIG Working Week 2029, and last but not least a call from our long term partner GIM International/Geomares.
It is your call to take action and engage - explore more in this newsletter...

FIG and Geospatial Council of Australia have the honour to invite you to the FIG Working Week 2025 being held from 6-10 April 2025 at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC), Australia.
FIG’s agenda for 2023 to 2026 is driven by the imperative for a sustainable profession that delivers services sustainably, addresses the global sustainable development agenda, and acts decisively on the climate agenda.
The overall theme for the Working Wek 2025 is: Collaboration, Innovation and Resilience: Championing a Digital Generation
In recent years, several transformative forces have converged, compelling our profession to redefine how we create, deliver, and communicate value within the context of sustainability. Awareness of trends and megatrends fosters preparedness and is the first step towards resilience; however, the next and immediate step in this decade demands action. The digital age will propel us forward, underscoring the urgency to act now.
The theme of the FIG Working Week 2025 is to Champion what is unquestionably a Digital Generation. But for surveyors to remain relevant, and maintain our international impact while providing services not only to our members but also our global partners we will need to be collaborative, innovative and our actions be sustainable in the face of the climate imperative
Prepare for your abstract. The call for papers includes both peer review
papers and regular abstracts. The submission will open soon.
