Finally it is time for European Young Surveyors to get together again, this time in Amsterdam!

Building further on the great success of the previous European meetings in Sofia, Berlin and Lisbon, where friendships, ideas, contacts were fostered, we are very honored and eager to invite you all to the:

4th FIG Young Surveyors European
Meeting in Amsterdam
on 7-9 June 2016

It is a three day event organised as follows:

  • 7th of June: Participate in the Common Vision Conference (50 spots available on a first come first serve basis).
  • 8th and 9th of June: Participate in 4th FIG Young Surveyors European Meeting.

There will be field trips on the 9th, which will be especially designed for young surveying professionals. The meeting is organised by European Young Surveyors. Together they have created a dynamic and engaging programme around the theme ‘Migration to a Smart World’. The event provides an amazing opportunity to expand your network, broaden your horizons and engaging in interesting international collaborations.

The meeting is being held in conjunction with the ‘Common Vision Conference’, hosted by some of the leading mapping, cadastre and land registry associations in Europe! The first 50 FIG Young Surveyors to register for the meeting, will have the opportunity to participate in this event, free of charge. This creates a perfect opportunity to network as well as gain meaningful insights from leading professionals.

We are looking forward to welcome you in Amsterdam for a couple of amazing days in the company of great people!

Tuesday, 7 June 2016
  Europe’s 5 leading mapping, cadastre and land registry associations and the Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency ­ Kadaster welcome you to the official Common Vision Conference. This joint conference will be organised for the first time and will focus on today’s issues regarding the future role of mapping, cadastre and land registry agencies. Headed by the overall theme Migration to a Smart World,topics such asmarine cadastre, interoperability,smart cities, location infrastructure, inter­connection of land registers, big data and 3D will be addressed.

During the afternoon we will visit GeoFort, an educational attraction about cartography and navigation in an exciting fortress from the New Dutch Waterline. The GeoExperience will get you up-to-date with old and new techniques in the geo-information field. A workshop will be held and the Netherlands' Cadastre Land Registry and Mapping Agency will conclude the meeting with a presentation.
