10. Objectives and ethics

  1. Objectives
  • To protect the interests and welfare of Puerto Rican community;
  • To safeguard and protect the rights of its members, in relation to the practice of their professions;
  • To promote the progress of culture, science, and technology, especially in relation to the engineering and surveying professions;
  • To decide on public interest matters in those affairs that concerns it;
  • To promote the environment improvement and embellishment of the Puerto Rican community.
  1. Disciplinary procedures

We enforce disciplinary procedures wherever a formal grief is presented due to possible violations of our code of conduct.

Note: A copy of the constitution of the association, the by lwas of the Disciplinary Action Court and the code of conducts are included.

The Constitution and by laws of the Disciplinary Action Court were included in Spanish as soon as we have them translated to English they will be submitted for your attention.

Note: To obtain the PE or PS title is required to approve the two (2) examination offered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and be member of one Association.

  1. Yes. There are two (2) universities offering the land surveying degree.

  3. To obtain the PS title need two (2) years of experience after approved one (1) of the NCEES Examination, then approved the other exam.

  4. Continuing professional development
  5. The continuing professional development is mandatory and have to complete fifteen (15) contact hours per year.

  6. No. This is an organisation for professional members only.
